In 1993, A simple discovery that grape seeds usually thrown away after the harvests in Bordeaux could be a veritable goldmine sparked the idea that spawned Caudalie Skin Care.
The seeds were discovered to contain polyphenols, which when stabilised are treasure troves for the skin, being the most powerful free readical traps in the plant world.
Two years later the first 3 products of the range were launched, and Caudalie products signed an agreement with the Pharmacy Faculty of Bordeaux to set up its own research team.
